COME EXPERIENCE
REVIVAL
What is revival?
Revival is an experience of personal renewal and revitalization spiritually. It can involve a spiritual awakening, emotional and physical healing, and a reawakening of purpose.
Through revival, individuals can gain new insight and understanding into their lives, and find a renewed passion for life through a personal move of God in their life.
Revival can be experienced through prayer, worship, and fellowship with other believers.
Revival is a powerful and transformative experience, one that can bring hope and renewed purpose.

Have you experienced revival in your life?

When I was 16, I went with my sister to a New Year's Eve watch service. Bro McCool preached that night on Acts 2:38. He asked if anyone wanted the Holy Ghost to come to the front. I went to the Altar without hesitation. I poured my heart out in repentance and God filled me with His Holy Spirit!
As time went by, I backslid. I realize now that I was trying to serve God out of FEAR. I tried to understand the scriptures and pray, but I just couldn't believe that God could love someone like me.
I can still remember lying in bed, afraid to fall asleep. I would whisper a prayer, "Lord please don't come back tonight." But I just couldn't seem to let go of the lifestyle I was living. Suicide thoughts were many. The words, "You've done too much for God to forgive you" and, "it's too late for you" taunted me. I listened to those LIES for years.
Then one day I had surgery, and my sister asked her church to pray for me. The next day the Pastor’s wife brought me a meal. SHE DIDN'T EVEN KNOW ME!! That one act of kindness made ALL the difference to me. The Pastor and his wife poured their LOVE and guidance into me. I was re-filled with the Holy Ghost!! With prayer and studying God's Word, I finally started to understand GOD’S LOVE.
He has delivered me from drugs and depression, touched my body and healed my mind!

At about twelve years old I went down in the wonderful name of Jesus Christ for the remission of my sins, but a few years later fell away from the Lord.

By the time I was fifteen, I was quite a mess. I was smoking, drinking, and listening to Led Zeppelin and AC/DC and hanging around with the wrong crowds in high school.
But I began to feel God’s call on my life.
One day, at 15 years old I went outside of our house to smoke a cigarette, I began to think about God and to pray. I crushed the cigarette out, looked up to heaven, and raised my hands to God in submission; immediately I began to feel the Holy Ghost all over me. But because of the way that I was living, I wasn’t expecting this at all, and to be completely honest, it shocked me! It was like I reached out to God, and he reached back down to me, even despite of my condition!
It wasn’t long before God sent a preacher, right to my house. He came to give a Bible study to my sister, but I was all ears. I began to go to church with them, and I also began to repent. I started carrying my Bible to school, and reading all the time. I would come home every day, and pray beside my bed to be filled with the Spirit of God. Well, it wasn’t long, maybe a week or two, that there was an altar call at church, and God filled me with his Spirit and changed my life!
My wife and I have been faithfully serving him now for 32 years, and he’s just as merciful and wonderful to me now, as he was to the little lost boy at 15!

I was raised in church and I’ve always believed in God. I had my share of trials and tribulations while attending church. I was in a good church, but saw some things in church that I didn’t think should happen in church among God’s people.
My marriage had ended in divorce and I was raised and taught that if you divorced and you have another relationship there is no hope for you.
I met Alex Fallin through work. He consistently talked to me about church for about 5/6 years. Over these years I met and married my wife, Kristy. This is when my life started to change for the better.
Kristy started baby sitting the Fallin’s son, Samuel. Something happened in our home one night with Samuel that brought my wife to church. This child of God put his little hands on my wife’s head and began to pray over her. One thing stood out he spoke the name of JESUS.
We thought to ourselves if a one year old could know the Word of God and live the Word, we could at least start attending church.
I started coming to FAC Cleveland with my wife and began to have a desire to learn the Bible. The more I attended, the larger desire I had to read my Bible. The more I read, the more I understood and God began to move!
The more I read the Bible, read about God’s forgiveness, and experienced personal revival it forever changed my heart. The truth was revealed to me and I began to realize that my past did not define me.

Now I am walking in truth, Holy Ghost filled and I glorify God everyday. My wife and I are active members at FAC and I am a worship leader at the church. I finally feel like my life has purpose.

I was raised in church but thought it wasn’t for me, so I ran away and didn’t want anything to do with church or anyone who talked about it. I was gone from Church for a lot of years.
Following a catastrophe in our lives, we moved to Cleveland, TN and had a chance for a fresh start. But I continued to be foolish, living a life in bondage to addictions and sin.
Then we found FAC Cleveland. I had visited several churches, but something felt different here. The church had open arms and accepted us. They poured into us, were interested in who we were and where we were from. It felt right and fit perfectly into our lives.
All along I thought the Holy Ghost would not change my ways; I was still being foolish when I wasn’t at church. One Sunday I was at the front praying and when I turned around I saw the church praying my 8 year old son through to the Holy Ghost. From that day I began reaching and searching to see what I needed to change in my life. I prayed for God to change me.
We attended FAC family weekend in Maryville and I made up my mind if I didn’t get the Holy Ghost that night, I wasn’t going back to church. I had my guard up. Pastor Carpenter preached a message about Jose and Gomer and how many times this man’s wife left, but every time she would come back she was accepted with open arms. I thought about all the times He accepted me and took care of me although I didn’t deserve to be taken care of. He kept me safe in situations I didn’t deserve to walk away from.
I went to the alter and prayed like never before. As the alter call was ending, Pastor Carpenter started speaking again. I said to myself, “If this is my last time, I’m going to give it all I’ve got no matter who’s talking!” I started praying again and that’s when God filled me with the gift of the Holy Ghost!
God has changed my whole life since that night! I came clean and confessed many things. I was honest no matter the hurt, and told my wife that whatever question she had I would be truthful and faithful to her.
My last name was an insult where I came from, but now God has changed my name. The people who surround me now see my name and they see dependable and trustworthy. Someone who used to run from God now has a big transformation and purpose.
